The Classic Black Boot

This shoe can be worn with EVERYTHING. Although ankle boots mark the beginning of autumn, I always find myself wearing my black boots all year round, making it a wardrobe staple. September and October is definitely the best time of year to pick up this style on the high street, and it is well worth investing a little more in a leather boot if it will be your go-to shoe.

Clarks has been my trustworthy shoe shop for years, and their boots have never let me down! The classic Chelsea boot has been given a bit of an upgrade by Clarks resulting in the stunning ‘Orlabella Anna’ shoe. What I love about this style is that it is a pull on boot with out the hassle of laces or zips, yet is still easy to put on and take off, as there is plenty of room around the ankle. Furthermore, the boot is given a sleek silhouette with the slightly extended ankle length as opposed to cutting off right at the ankle. This design is perfect for dressing up with skirts and dresses (as well as trusty jeans), which can sometimes look awkward with a chunkier boot.

One of the most redeeming features of this boot is the reasonable heel height. At 5.5cm this boot passes the test of being durable for a whole day out shopping, which is my ultimate comfort test! The block heel adds further support and stability for a day on your feet as well as being bang on trend.

This shoe is available in a regular width and wide fit.
